For Russell.
Russell passed away on the 18th of December 2008. My Russell. My amazing, handsome, mischievous little boy. Every time I close me eyes, I see a slide show of all the memories I have with him. The way he nudged me while playing wii, the way he snuggled himself on me as I watched tv, the feeling of his wet nose on my hand when Jie opened the door in the morning... It breaks my heart to think that he's not here. I don't have the courage to open the door and realise that he's not going to run up to me. But then again, this is not about me. This is about my Russelly and how much joy he has blessed me with.
Russell was (Past tense. *sighs*) what most people would consider a terror. But he was my terror. He was impossible to train and impossible to shut up. *laughs* Armed with dog training guides, I tried to teach him to sit. In order to remember the command, he actually had to be well... sitting. But he never was! So, I had to push his butt(adorned with the most adorable black patch) down and demandly say "sit!" Idiot learnt the touch but not the word.
He had such an amusing personality. He was probably the worst secret keeper in the world. Every time he did something bad, he seemed to have to look on his face. The look that he was kinda bursting with glee but afraid that we would find out what he did. It's difficult to explain, but we always knew when he was being naughty.
It's so painful to know that he's no longer with me. I just hope that he knows somehow that I miss him so much and from the day I saw him, I knew that I would always love him.

Truly. My life is full of it.
Yesterday started out fine and dandy until... Russelly decided to eat the dark chocolate bar in my bag! Before you start pointing fingers, I'll have you know that he has never ever eaten anything that was still fully sealed in it packet. And yet, he ate the chocolate! *gasp* It was a huge thing because chocolate is a poison to dogs- a little bit of chocolate is enough to kill a normal dog (I said normal because those who have met my Russelly know that he is anything but). I immediately tried to induce vomiting while Jie freaked out and make a phone call to the vet.
In the end, we had to rush him down to the hospital's emergency room. The doctor tried to make Russelly vomit as well... But as far as I know, she failed. Damn dog just refused to do it. *sighs* We had to leave him overnight in the hospital. *nods*
But he's alright... We picked him up this afternoon! He didn't show any of the signs that dogs show when they're poisoned with chocolate. *laughs* I'm thanking God so much for making him the way he is and being able to eat chocolate. =) Although, one can't help but wonder if Russelly is really a doggie. =/
I don't think I can look at chocolate for a long, long time.
